Description
Material: Polypropylene/Polycarbonate
The top dome is moulded in rigid and transparent polycarbonate giving a clear view of the desiccant placed inside. The knurled knob on top provides easy handling of the dome. The lower part is moulded in Poly- propylene. An internal groove is provided in the flange to hold a silicon O-ring. Each Desiccator is provided with a thick perforated Polypropylene disc with a big central hole for easy lifting. The tiny holes provide air troughs and support to the dishes. However, porcelain discs are recommended for incandescent crucibles. For the plain Desiccators grease should be applied to the flange to make it air tight. The Vacuum Desiccators are provided with Polypropylene stop-cock fitted with a self lubricating PTFE plug that works 3-way to create a vacuum, vacuum release and cut-off. The Vacuum Desiccators can hold the vacuum upto 740mmHg for 24 hours without any greasing.
